Hello!

As the little box-thing to the right says, I'm an A-Level student who just so happens to love both history and baking. And what happens when those two things collide? Histori-cakes, apparently! It's my newest experiment, where I blog about two of my favourite things at the same time. What could be better?

So how is this going to work? Well, I will aim to update once a week. The type of cake that I make will alternate: one week, I'll post about a cake that I've made that is inspired by history (for example, a Bastille Day cake); and the next week, I'll post about an actual cake from history (for example, a World War II eggless cake). I will reference where I got each recipe or inspiration from, post pictures of the baking process and the finished product and, for cakes from history only, I'll rate them out of ten.
